Hey everyone,
I know, I know; joy is an elusive feeling when you're disabled by a chronic illness.
Perhaps because it is so elusive, many of us find it too exhausting to seek it out.
However; as much as we are called upon to find a genuine 'yin' state, the healing state that allows our bodies and minds to heal and repair themselves, we need genuine 'yang', the joyful energy that restores us and tops up our reserves.

talking about acceptance prompted me to write about the gift of now which very much for me goes hand in hand with acceptance though it is its own thing
this for me has been and continues to be the greatest healer there is and the greatest tool
as i said in m last blog i tried so many tools - eft, stops etc etc to no effect and it was only when i started to practice mindful presence in the now that i made progress - the breathing now is when everything that is not…

This is something I have struggled with for years. It just seems so wrong. After all why should I accept things which to me seem unacceptable? It seems akin to giving up.
I remember over ten years ago when my mental health problems were at their worst. I was in hospital and my consultant commented that I needed to accept how things were. I said nothing but inside I was outraged. I was tortured by my emotions and feelings and did everything I could to drive them out of my head. …
